Birthday and Valentine's Day

Mike turned 26 on February 9th! I'm pretty sure he is considered to be old now. :) My cake decorating skills came from the cricuit (I wish I had that good of handwriting with frosting). Elsie doesn't give me a whole lot of free time so this was much faster and it turned out okay, We just peeled the paper off before we ate it.

I love bath time pictures! We decided that because bath time is Elsie's favorite time of day, it's mine too. She dictates what I like now.

These are the beautiful flowers Mike got me for Valentine's Day! I love them! We ate a roast (that I cooked successfully!) for dinner. Mike worked until 8 that night so it was pretty low key. For our romantic movie that night we watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It's one' of our favorites.. . . anything to keep us laughing! I love you Mike!

Elsie's Blessing Day

Yesterday we blessed out little girl! It was such a wonderful day for everyone. Mike did a beautiful job and it was a very special blessing. We had a ton of family come and support us, thanks to all who came and brought food.

2 Months

I took Elsie in for her 2 month appointment a couple days ago. It is so crazy to think about how much she has grown in such a short amount of time! Really, I just found out a couple weeks ago that my body wasn't producing enough milk so they had me start supplementing formula. Initially she has only gained 12 oz. in 6 weeks. Then she gained a pound the next week and we are going up from there!

Introducing: ELSIE HAMPTON

Okay, so I know this isn't timely. . . but I've been having way too much fun playing with this little girl to post so here it goes. Elsie was born on November 22nd at 3:37 pm. She was 9 days overdue. She weighed 8 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20.5 inches long.

This was her getting her first bath. According to Mike, she didn't like it. :)

The whole family. We are teaching her early to stick out her tongue (you can't see it, but she is).She was quite the star and she gave every one of these people new names (grandpa, grandma, aunt, or uncle). They all love her to death!
The poor thing had jaundice. We had to have her hooked to a machine with a light for 4 days after we brought her home. She has been cleared now and everything is going great!
We had a quiet Thanksgiving with just the three of us. We didn't even have to cook because Grandma and Grandpa Herrick brought us over leftovers. :)

She is such a good baby and adorable in every way! She has changed our lives forever and we love her so much! It has been a fun ride the past week or so and we can't wait for more to come. Mike is such a good daddy and loves to play with his little girl. He has taken on the role of being her personal trainer and is determined that she will be a tough kid. :) It is so wonderful to know that she will be in our family forever!

Okay, I know it's been a while since we've posted. But we are pregnant and expecting a little girl on November 13th! We are so excited. :) Mike has been tracking my growth every 4 weeks, so here it goes.

Who knew any part of my body would actually stick out more than my rear end! I'll believe anything now. :) Things are going great with the pregnancy and we can't wait for Elsie to get here!

2nd Anniversary!

So, Mike and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary by going down to St. George for the weekend. We went to see Brian Regan at the Tuacahn. I literally laughed until my stomach and cheeks were sore. The show was 2 hours long! We loved it. We had a picnic in the park and the weather was absolutely beautiful! We also did a lot of shopping. It was great. My picture taking is awful, but we're lucky to have remembered these two.



Time flies, but I love every minute of it! Mike has just started his internship at Grant Thornton for the summer and I am working from home and preparing for our baby to come in November!
